‘The U.N. Will Be Pleased’

Never mind the lack of affordable housing; never mind the already-behind and increasingly-expensive provincial health systems; never mind the increasing crime rate that has accompanied increased immigration… The government is going to turn us into ‘global citizens’ – Canadians be damned…

“To compensate for the fall of immigration this year, Canada has set the most ambitious immigration levels plan in its history.

“Today, Canada announced its “2021-2023 Immigration Levels Plan” in which it stated it will target the highest level of immigration in its history. Over the coming three years, Canada will aim to welcome the following number of new immigrants:
2021: 401,000 immigrants
2022: 411,000 immigrants
2023: 421,000 immigrants

“Earlier this year, on March 12, the federal government announced Canada would aim to welcome over one million new permanent residents between 2020 and 2022. Days later, Canada had to shut its borders due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“As a result, Canada will likely fall well short of the 341,000 immigration target it set for this year; however, it has been holding Express Entry draws throughout the pandemic that will result in Canada breaking its Express Entry record this year. In addition, Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws remain ongoing…

“Since its founding in 1867, Canada has welcomed at least 300,000 immigrants in a year just five times. It is currently welcoming 0.9% of its population in immigrants, which is three times higher than the per capita newcomer intake in the United States…”

From 2015:
“Of the 10 Canadian ridings with the highest percentage of immigrants, eight went ‘Liberal’ {Party}.

“Two, Richmond Centre and Markham-Unionville, stayed ‘Conservative’ {Party}. Each of these ridings had comparatively few recent immigrants compared to the other eight.

“Of the 30 Canadian ridings whose populations are more than 50% immigrants, all but four voted ‘Liberal’ {Party}. Of those four, Burnaby South and Vancouver Kingsway went NDP; Richmond Centre and Thornhill went Tory…”

Third World Immigration Undermining Canada{May 28, 2017}:
“In this era of mass migration, one of five residents of Canada is now born outside the country, mostly in Asia. The ratio of foreign-born residents rises to almost one in two in Toronto and Metro Vancouver… Unfortunately, the record of many Asian countries in regards to male domination and women’s freedom leaves much to be desired…”

Tribalizing Canadian Politics’ (Identity Politics) {Jan.10, 2020}:
“The slow and steady ghettoization of Canada’s urban political scene is gathering pace. Ethnicity, religion and tribalism are being promoted…instead of debating competing visions about Canada’s future.”

Feds Pushing French’ (Francophone Immigration) {Oct.30, 2020}:
Another example of blatantly-hypocritical and discriminatory policies that enable the expansion of Francophone communities outside Quebec while ignoring the repression of English-speaking communities inside Quebec – all of it enabled by a flawed and discriminatory Canadian Constitution.
P.S. Why don’t provincial governments take over their own immigration, the way that Quebec has?
“The federal government will give an advantage to skilled workers who speak French and are applying for permanent residency and immigration to Canada. The decision does not apply to those applying to come to the French-speaking province of Quebec, since that province runs its own immigration program…
